Hot gas = lost $$$

How much do you lose due to the gasoline expansion factor?

Click here to find out: www.afteroilev.com/gastemp.php

Example:

In California the average underground fuel tank temperature is 74.7 degrees F.

The gasoline expansion factor is .069% per degree F over 60 degrees (temp at which oil refineries sell to gasoline stations)

If I bought 20 gallons @ $3.60 / gallon that’s an over payment of $0.73 per fill up.

Interesting… thanks for the post. I guess living in Arizona wouldn’t help!
