Has anyone hacked this for a 2018 yet?

Sort of. You can swap controllers for complete control of speed and regen. 3 modes available, @eltakeiteasy

Back to the Orignal post. When you asked has anyone Hacked the “One Pedal switch” aka Turing it on or off? My question is are ya not a fan of the Re-Gen and you want it turned off. I’m hearing people who live in very flat areas DONT like Re-Gen They like the Coasting Feature so they don’t have to constantly keep their foot on the Throttle. Is that what you’re Is turn off trying to do turning off re-gen

I took it to mean, more regen on 2018. Like the new Gems.

Note: This post is asking about a 2018, but the pic referenced mentions this switch in a 2024.

Is there a Regen switch in a 2018?

Perhaps the OP (eltakeiteasy) wants one of these switches in his 2018?

The overused term “hacked” is not a clear request to what actually needs done here. → More info is needed.

2018 Polaris and 2024 Waev are just different animals. I suppose there might be some way to adjust Polaris regeneration but I don’t think it’ll be easy to put the Waev button on the dash and working.

Not easy, but a controller swap eliminates all control by oem. I’m ready to start doing more of them. Need guinea pigs.

I am happy to be a guinea pig

I wanted to make it like a tesla to where you took your foot off and it started to re-gen to a stop. But the coasting idea is equally as interesting as I live in a flat area so coasting would be nice vs the kinda “jerky” stopping..

Personally I love the 1 Pedal option. I have Dave’s Sevcon controller option on my car and I was able to adjust the regen WAY up. I never use the Car’s regular brakes anymore. Regen is way more the. Enough. You can still coast you just have to find that sweet spot in the throttle and she coast’s right along

2018 5kw motor ?

Battery?

Near Byron in Costa Mesa?

This works much better with access to programmer. Note Grant talking about his fine tuning.

Are you handy electric and mechanic?

I must have missed the part where he mentions his approximate location?

Is @eltakeiteasy in CA?

To expand on what Dave is talking about. Regen is very personal. I like my Regen set so high that if your foot slips off the pedal it’s like your slamming in the brakes. Some people I’m sure would hate that. With a computer in had I was able to dial it in. I’m sure what’s good for me might not be great for your driving style.
