GEM motors... Which one?

Asking for opinions here…
I have a 2006 E2, 14" R4F wheels/tires. I live in a very hilly portion of north Georgia.
The stock GE “long” 5HP motor sometimes gets an overheat light and low power after a period of “regeneration” .
What is the group’s recommendation? New motor? Which one? What is the difference between the various D&D motors and the R4F unit? Besides the price.
Thanks in advance!

Little difference between any of the dc motors. I believe you have a pretty good one now.
Grant just sold a special torque motor. It’s a trade off being slow.

Have someone program out regen and PLUG braking. it should keep your motor from getting hot
