Started to install the BMS tonight… This thing has no means to mount it, no threaded holes, no studs, no tabs, nothing. Just a rectangular box. LOL
Yep…noticed that too…people stick in glovebox…some even replaced gb door w clear plastic
I’ve got the old style dash, so I’ll have to get creative. The wires are none too long either.
Hey Todd can you post some pics of your setup when you get done.
Velcro with adhesive on the back and or in glove compartment. If u leave out on dashboard, some delinquent might disappear w it
Is the BMS something that needs to be watched will driving, or just and occasional look?
Starting out i would watch it often for problems…think 787 and why Boeing and Nissan and Tesla isolate and entomb the battery packs in steel for safety.
Wonder if someone makes a tiny camera that would work? (focus)
Maybe combine with a back-up camera.

Most bms are out of site and do there job without looking.
I don’t recommend using long wires for safety reasons, but it should work fine.
Grant should be reviewing the “remote” display any day now.
It moves the lcd and switches to dash. Leaving the high power leads near battery.
Proper soldering, heat shrink tubing, and wiring looms make extending the wires safe. The Blue BMS24 comes with an alarm and two temp sensors. More temp sensors would be nice but no place to hook up more temp sensors.
So today I installed the Lithium with daves help OF COURSE!! LOL the rear end feels a little more stiff but not bad at all. I plan to install the BMS tomorrow, kinda hard when my 3 year old talks my ear off while I’m touching wires.
Now that’s a butt load!
Where’s the emergency brake?
I have a four seater brake is in the front.

Hi
there to buy connectors between battery poles ?
Are you looking for copper sheet metal or cables? For cables I used cables
from the Nissan Lipo pack and my old Gem cables. I resized one of them.
The end fittings can be had at auto parts stores or hardware stores. Or you can
even reuse the Gem battery cable ends. Open or cut the crimp seam a little, heat it up
and yank. You need more than a soldering iron or gun. A propane torch and vise helps/works well.
The Nissan Leaf Pack came with extra pieces of long copper sheet metal that
I cut down to size and drilled holes in. You should be able to find sheet copper
at hardware stores or metals dealers or scrap dealers or call someone who does
rain gutters. I have even seen 1 inch wide rolls of copper with holes drilled every inch or half inch.
wanted to add a little info to this . NWS the bars that are connecting the center cells are not needed on leaf cells to operate , they are only there to hook up a bms to .
also what voltage are you charging each cell to ?
