Entrepreneur David Lloyd enters UK electric car market

Leisure entrepreneur David Lloyd has announced plans to enter the UK electric car market with a company called EV Hub. He plans to introduce an array of charging stations across the UK which will be located beside coffee shops, supermarkets and also be part of office space developments. The entrepreneur is looking to raise £500,000 via a crowdfunding issue to fund the first five hubs at which point he will look to roll them out right across the UK.

Never quite understood millionaires taking the crowdfunding option - if they think the idea is that good why not fund it privately and keep all of the future profits themselves?
