E580 won't move

Greetings, I am the new owner of a new gem e580. When I purchased it I
drove it on my trailer. When I arrived home after a 600 mile trip it would
not move forward or back. All the lights work, the main solenoid clicks, I have
followed the trouble shooting chart, replaced all four batteries, removed the motor
and checked the operation of it (fine) , Checked the throttle pot…ohms reading
correct at the connector however there was no reading on pins 2 and 3 at the
controller. I would appreciate any help you guys can provide…rjr1

How new is new?

If it has the standard GE-SX controller.
1 is B+ 72v
2 is B+ from key
3 is B+ from accelerator switch.
4 is from Forward switch
5 is reverse
6 is turf mode

Thanks for your prompt reply. I found and resolved my problem this afternoon.
rjr!

Thanks for your help, I was able to locate and repair the problem this afternoon.

What was ur problem I have the same issue?

Mine happened after I washed it .

hello jug head
The problem with mine was, my charger was original and had
gone bad causing the charger interlock to fail. On the larger
plug that connects to the charger there are two red (on mine)
wires that connect to the interlock circuit. I replaced my charger
and jumped those two wires…CAUTION the car will now run
with the charger hooked up.

What is the charger interlock? I just bought this and someone has modified don’t know what’s original, which plug has the two red wires is that the plug that comes from the main plug to charger with the big gauge wire (hot and ground) that has the 48-50volts . It’s possible when I washed it something grounded out but what usually blows if fuses didn’t ? And also do u know the name of the pc board that is exposed under the dash has a long brown plug, hot wire and a buzzer on it. Sorry I’m new to the gem and there’s not a lot of info on the e580 model just trial and error thanks.

hello, on my cart (99 e580) on the orig. charger there was an 8 pin connector and
a plug connected to it. on the plug there are 2 small red wires next to each other.
since my old charger was gone and the connector was hanging loose I jumped
the 2 red wires to complete the charger interconnect. BE CAREFUL WHEN JUMPING ANY WIRES.
