For many months the Mitsubishi i-Miev was the cheapest electric vehicle in the US market until the issue of the third generation Smart Electric Drive vehicle. On original costs it has undercut the cost of a Mitsubishi i-Miev by around $4000 although dealerships around the US seem to be reacting to this move.
It is interesting to see price competition in the electric vehicle market which shows there is interest, there is potential for the future and we are starting to see prices become more affordable for the masses.
