charging on long journeys: newbie question

Hive mind! I’ve a question for all electric car heads. I’d like a Nissan Leaf in a perfect world but I tend to drive half way up the country every other month. But if I drive from my house to Glasgow, 232 miles away, and the range is only 90 miles, it means every 90 mins I am having to charge it up for 30-45 minutes at a rapid charge stop, - thus making a 4 hour journey into a 6-7 hour journey. Is there no way around this? Do I just have to wait until tesla is affordable one day? AAH. Thank you!
