I recently bought a 2001 e825 72v… Batteries were dead so I decided to do lithium conversion with 2 evo 72v in parallel. My problem is, nothing happens when I turn the key… when I put a meter on the convertor I see power. the main contactor / solenoid doesn’t engage. the only signs of life are the seat belt light on the steering wheel, and an alarm turns on when i disengage the parking brake. Could use pretty much all the help I can get at this point before I replace every part on this thing…

What does your new battery system use for charging? Did you remove your old charger (most likely a Zivan charger?). Do you remember what you did with the small Red/g and Grn wires that went to the top of it?
Those were your interlock wires that keep your car from moving when you are plugged in to charge. With the charger removed, those wires need to be connected together. -
Does your car have the New DC Converter/wiring update? This upgrade changes what it on that interlock wire. It would be good to know for any further diagnostics.
@AssyRequired Thanks for responding, I’ve seen a lot of your previous advice, so I appreciate you! I removed the zivan charger, the red and green wires from the interlock are still attached to the harness in good shape. My batteries came with a stand alone charger which i’m just going to keep in the garage
I do not have the new DC converter/wiring update been looking online to see where I can purchase if I’m not able to bring it in for the recall…
That worked!!now I have an issue when I hit top speed the car will run smooth for about 30 seconds, then make kind of a brrrrt sound then go back to silent then brrt again…
How fast are you going when it does this?
It sounds like you are just bouncing off the speed limiter.
Try this:
Back off on the pedal a bit and see if it still does it.
Then drag you brake a bit with your other foot.
Is it as obvious?
I think you’re right… When i’m on road mode it gets up to 26 then will make a brrrt sound if I hold at 22 it runs smooth. Turf mode tops out at 16 and runs great. Is there a way to prevent that limiter from bumping like that? or is it all just pedal control?
