I just sent the controller back to the rebuilder Rest assured the problem is not the battery.
Dave, while the people helping you here have not likely worked on strip mining equipment, some here are EE’s and others have been working on these GEMs for close to 20 years. Your problem here is a GEM system, not a strip mining machinery so you might rethink your choices to not listen to and not answer questions posted.
Like using a DVM in min/max mode and verifying the “one weak battery” is not completely fschk’ing up the battery voltage seen by the controller as the system tries to power up. AND what happened originally to cause the controller to be sent in for repair.
