The state of Washington has recently passed a bill which makes it legal for the authorities to fine gasoline powered vehicle owners who park in electric/plug-in car parking spaces. The fines could be up to $124 and are an interesting way to protect the electric car industry and perhaps catch the attention of the wider public.
