High output Gem battery
Introducing our new 48v, High output, Lithium battery upgrade. This battery performed excellent in performance tests. Gems can pull large amounts of amps at certain times, many prepackaged 48v batteries can’t keep up with the demand. This battery was tested in my high performance tuned Gem, the gem is tuned for faster acceleration and top speed. Under hard acceleration it pulled over 350 amps of power. This battery was able to provide power for that demand and is rated for 150 amps continuous output(most are rated to 100a continuous). Even when 90% discharged it had over 50v(lead batteries would be 40v) and had great acceleration. Range was 35 miles in an E4, one person, 30-35mph. When the gauge shows 0% it still has a 2 mile reserve to get you home. Battery is drop in ready and fully integrates into the Gem. Works with the factory charger and even the charge meter on the dash works. Most other batteries sold require a separate charger and a volt meter because they are incompatible with the factory equipment. Battery comes with a built in, High output BMs and an LCD monitor. You don’t need the monitor but this thing is nice. Not only does it show voltages but it shows how many amps your charger is putting in, how many amps are being provided to the Gem. Approximate time until empty at a given speed and time until fully charged. Easy install, requires hooking up the positive and negative battery cables, plugging in a charge calibrator and that’s it. No going under the hood to modify anything and no additional wiring.
