While there is some controversy regarding the figures, claims that the number of car electric car charging facilities outnumbers the number of gas stations, there is no doubt great progress is being made across Japan. Claims there are 40,000 individual car charges available today against 34,000 gas stations certainly speaks volumes about the development of the market in Japan.
When multiple pumps at the 34,000 gas stations are added into the equation this perhaps makes a mockery of the claim although we should not overlook the fact there are now 40,000 individual electric car charging facilities!
