General Motors is rumoured to be very close to announcing the launch of its own range of autonomous electric vehicles in tandem with self driving company Lyft. This is not the first time that GM has been linked with autonomous vehicles but the fact that the company’s Chevy Bolt EV has seemingly been earmarked for this latest development is intriguing many.
Is no secret that many of the traditional automobile companies are looking towards autonomous vehicles in the future and what better way to incorporate electric powered vehicles? It will be interesting to see how the general public react to this latest announcement and whether indeed the 12 month target launch date (rumoured but not confirmed) is correct.
