Despite the fact that Ford has added a further 700 additional electric vehicle dealerships over the last few months it still expects sales of its Ford Focus EV to be less than 5% of company hybrid and electric vehicle sales for 2013. While this is a little bit disappointing, bearing in mind the additional investment made by Ford, it does bring a touch of reality to the electric vehicle market.
The fact is that the worldwide economic environment is not exactly positive, consumers are still sceptical of electric vehicles and it will be a slow and drawn out process to bring them round.
