I just got back from a 35 to 40 mile cruise……
Pompano Beach to Deerfield Beach back to Pompano Beach, then to Lauderdale by the Sea, then to Fort Lauderdale beach, taking multiple laps in the tourist zone, then back to Pompano for a couple of beers at The Briny, then home.
32% battery remaining.
30.9ah remaining capacity
79.22volts
I still want to see how far I can go on a single charge, but I am slowly working my way to that.
Here are some observations……
It seems like the cart has gotten slightly faster. Last week, I was able to hit 40 mph with just me in the car. Today I saw 40mph several times with a adult passenger, 200lb’s.
Once the batteries went under 50%, it seemed like it didn’t have the same pep, but I was able to do 36mph consistently, while seeing the speedometer bounce between 36 and 38. Remember, I only see half speed. However, it was also a warmer outside temp too. There was a lot of beach traffic, so I wasn’t able to let it go either. So I might be wrong about lack of pep.
I am extremely happy with the conversion to say the least. It is great. No range anxiety whatsoever. Sure, I am still going to convert The Green Lantern to a commercial charging outlet, so that I can take advantage of the numerous local charging stations. I probably don’t need too, but why not?
I really enjoy The Green Lantern. So many people take its picture, or take selfies while sitting in it. It always strikes up a conversation, especially when the headliner is all lit up. It’s fun. I have yet to see another car as cool as mine and we have street legal golf carts all over the place. Mine is just so unique.
I also get those that want to buy it from me. It’s not for sale. However, I have begun to tell people I’ll take 20 grand. That usually ends that conversation. Lol
I will keep this thread updated. My goal is to go over 50 miles on a charge. At some point I will do a range run, but still happily working my way to that!
