Another lithium conversion

Yes, the tote was a nice idea.
In order to avoid cutting the struts I cut the pvc board smaller in that part.
I also put a screw on the strut to secure the back of the board

I actually am an attorney, but not that kind…

I actually thought of this idea after the fact. It’s in there now and I’m not taking it out. But yeah that is a better way to catch a mouse.

I’m aware of that. I did not show you the cheater picture. I’m actually resting most of the load on the bumper near the frame mount. It should be able to handle as much weight as I can fit on it.

Hey Inwo, I have a E2 2017 with 6v agm batteries and would like to convert. I am in Clearwater. I am a good mechanic and good with electronics. Can you give me the best solution to getting the lead out? Rather than me ask you a lot of questions I will just let you tell me what to do. I would like to DIY on this project but I am open to a turn-key solution. Thanks,
Dave

The new Gems are a work in progress.
If you are happy with performance and want to switch to lithium only, go with 14s 51 volts nominal.
1p14s is 94ah with my new SDI cells. 4.8kwh
2p14s is double = 188ah and 9.6kwh

Stock new Gems seem to use 100 to 150 watt hours per mile.

30-40 miles
or
60-80 miles
est.

Cells are $100 each.
$1400 or $2800 cells and hardware only. I can help you get it working. Lots of support on here.
Bms add $250 (needed)

Add $500 for a plug and play solution.
Such as:

This is a sample I built from a standard aluminum box to show others how to do it.
$3550 ready to go.

I was hoping Clearwater Mn. Oh well.
A truck is leaving here for Fl. around the 25th.

Have a battery for a new Gem in Fl. now.
See if something will work @djgabriel2004

The truck will be going to Gabe and could possibly drop off the big battery in Clearwater for DIY.

I’m having him look

I have a 14s Samsung SDI in an enclosure box that is missing only the bms, I can connect it and make it ready to install or you can do it yourself. If you pick it up I can show you how to wire it, I’m in Deerfield beach

How far apart?
That would be great.
Unless he wants the big one, but I can get that to Fl. too.

3 hs maybe, he is closer to @LithiumGods

Clearwater is just west of Tampa. I have a pickup so I can go and get supplies.

Then it depends on your budget and how I get battery to you. The big battery is too heavy for FedEx.
@djgabriel2004 has most experience with the new Gems.
We are still working out the details of a shipment to Deerfield Beach. It may be the truck can drop it off direct to you.

I don’t have a budget restraint but I don’t plan on driving too far per trip. Like 10 miles a trip. So whatever you think. I am not a member yet so not messaging rights yet. This GEM has 17K miles on it. It ran fine until one of the 6 Volt Batteries failed. It looks like the entire battery pack is 2017. Time to replace. They don’t give 6V batteries away, in fact they are $300 each. I think I should invest in something more substantial.
Naples, FL. is much closer to where lithiumgods lives. Could he help with this? Again I cannot message.

You are right, Naples is just down the coast. You are in Miami.

@LithiumGods has not done a new gem. However he just picked one up and will be doing his own.
