Gem was running fine and when I went to use it -51 popped up. After checking the connections it went away and now I’m stuck with -23. Any thoughts as to what could be causing this. 2002 with sdi 22 lithium battery and t1 controller.
I saw and responded to this over on fb. Do you want it here too just for continuity?
I’d like to know… might keep me from asking a dumb question later on… Might being the key word… Lol
What was the solution to this?
-51 - Capacitor volts are low before the line contactor closes.
Usually -51 happens if the Key is ON then MainSw on (incorrect Power Up sequence). Or perhaps KeyON was done quickly after MainSwON?
A key cycle should clear it.
If not, then there may be a loose connection on P1 on the 23p connector.
====
-23 - Motor field current is too high when the key switch is turned on.
Try disconnecting one of the field wires and see if the code changes.
If Yes, check field coil for short to itself or shorted to ground.
If -23 code still present, you may need to change out your controller.
