If car manufacturers listened to their customers more, would we see a better uptake of electric vehicles?[/QUOTE]
Hi Editor!
Definitely! It is clearly one of LEAF’s success pillars, as many of the improvements are a direct result of feedback from owners! They actually listened and actively facilitated Internet forums dialogue, which is a bit obvious when LEAF has the highest customer satisfaction rating of any of the manufacturer’s models (a whopping 93% score). Thus, Nissan cleverly “energized” LEAF drivers into becoming the car’s best advocates. Clever.
This allowed them monitor the overall conversation, take note of specific tips and hints exchanged by owners, as well as most recurrent (angry?) cries for improvements. It also organized regular owner events to gain further feedback. I think this is a great approach to releasing a 2.0 version of any vehicle - not just creating a “more dramatic” looking concept to showcase at the next Motor Show to gauge reaction…
(BTW, Geneva Motor Show is on at the moment - all these shiny new machines! Anyone seen any new “green” releases that caught your eye?
