Hi, happy New Year. Currently have not bought any panels. What voltage are you asking about?
Most systems I looked at use micro converters at each panel to do dc/ac conversion. I was thinking you could charge a volt battery set as storage and run dc to gem. Of course I maybe just creating a totally different set of issues.
Any ideas you have would be appreciated.

No suggestions on what system might be best. Charging the gem is the least of your issues. Any voltage level can be changed to charge batteries.
