I have a 1980 Lectric Leopard. It will power on but will not move. How do I check if the controller is bad and what other things should I do (The batteries are all new)?

Some time it may happen that the points where the wires are connected to the batteries are covered with the dry battery leakages just clean those points with the metal plates and make connection properly. the problem may get solved.
