# WTB 12 pin cable to swap out T1 to T2 controller

They are “AMP” multi-lock series. The supplier that you use for electronics should have them.
You will have to pick the number of pins needed.

Refer to the picture in #18.
Have not found a free hanging female plug.
Use a pcb mount socket with leads soldered on and shrink tube.
Let me know if you find one.

Look up Mouser 571-1740442. I don’t have one in hand yet but it looks like a free hanging plug (mounting style: wire). It uses crimp-on female connectors. I could not find this at Digikey, but Mouser has them

There is confusion between what is called M or F.
I believe you need a M. F socket but M pins.
Look at this example.
571-175973-2
If I were to make a lot of them, I would use and 4 X 2 row pluged into the solder pins.

Factory supplied units have a 8 pin female and a 12 male plug on a 12 inch dongle

My original suggestion is indeed the wrong gender. To clarify:
T1 controller has an 8 pin “cap” (AMP term) with male pins, and the wiring harness has an 8 pin “plug” with female contacts.
I need a 12 pin plug to connect to the T2 motor controller, with female contacts, and a 8 pin cap to connect to the wiring harness, with male pins.
I now believe the correct two parts are:
12 pin plug, 175965-2, Mouser 571-175965-2
8 pin cap, 368191-2, Mouser 571-368191-2
The 3D CAD model for this latter part looks a bit odd, but from the drawings and specs it appears to be correct. This uses crimp wire terminals, not through hole solder pins.
This connector family is quite confusing, and Mouser offers two other similar parts, so I am still not 100% sure.

Did you find pins? It looks like a protective “cap” only.
This shows pin holes.
571-178455-1
For a one time use, the 8pins could be installed in the 12p housing.
