# Would Tesla be the same without Elon Musk?

Elon Musk has been great for the EV market over the last few years - would Tesla be the same without Elon Musk at the helm?

I think at this moment in time that Elon Musk is Tesla and the critical moment will come when he leaves the company for another venture, which he almost certainly will.

He seems to be spending more time on SpaceX I imagine he will eventually leave Tesla to focus his efforts on that.
