# will my scooter explode

Hi I am a young disabled man and use a Zappy electric scooter it has a 350w brushless motor and 3 12v 12ah lead batteries inside. I want to double the distance It can accomplish from one charge which is around 25km , can I replace my batteries with 12v 20ah lithium to achieve this? Without blowing up my scooter?
