# Why is there so little press about BYD?

The media coverage of Chinese electric car manufacturer BYD is a little light and many people with an interest in electric vehicles may never have heard of the company before. However, the company has released the BYD e6 and the BYD eBus into the electric vehicle market with some success. The eBus has been a little more successful in the US than the BYD e6 but could prove to be something of a door opener in years to come.
It will be interesting to see whether the bias towards North American electric car manufacturers is broken by the likes of BYD.
