# Why are electric cars so popular in Norway?

A recent survey of the worldwide electric vehicle market has cast a very surprising light upon the relatively small country of Norway. This is a country which has acquired more electric cars in 2012 than any other country and is way ahead if you look at the statistics on a per capita basis.

Why have the Norwegian public taken electric vehicles to their heart?
