# Wet or AGM for 02 E825?

Looking at new batteries…is AGM worth it to upgrade? Also is the trojan the best?

We have same GEM and I am using Trojan SCS225 which on spec sheets are identical to 31XHS but a bit cheaper. Added a battery watering system to simplify but to be honest FLA are a pain to maintain and they are constantly trying to corrode every thing around. I am about 22 months in on a new set and had to replace one already. Currently another one doesn’t hold a charge as well as the others. Still have not been left on road side though.
In hindsight wish I jumped on the lithium bandwagon and will definitely do so on the next go around even though the experts on this site say the older models don’t adapt as well.
