The UK government is apparently working on a “revolutionary plan” to push the UK to the forefront of electric vehicle technology. A system which would effectively accommodate autonomous vehicles and allow constant recharging on “Scalextric” type roads would seem to be on the cards. However, it is a little bizarre that the UK government is trying to push the UK electric vehicle industry to the forefront but is currently in talks with an Indian manufacturer about mass production of an affordable long-range electric vehicle?
