# Question about E-Meter

I picked up an E-Meter on ebay for my S10. It does not have the db9 serial computer interface plug.  
As I was installing it today I noticed that the circuit board exiting the body of the e-meter has the holes for this connector.

Is it possible that a simple installation of the serial connector would enable an interface with my palm pilot as some have done?  
Or are there missing parts/circuitry inside as well?

It almost seems too good to be true, but I thought I’d seek the wisdom of our resident e-meter gurus.
