# New GEM owner

Hello All,

I’ve been interested in electric cars since I can remember, although never having owned one until now. I was originally an Auto Mechanic but have been a Network Administrator for 16 years.

I have a 2002 GEM es with the GE T2 controller. I haven’t done any mods yet, but look forward to working on it. I look forward to learning from the other forum members and sharing my experiences as well.

Indiana plant and will be delivered to a customer later this year. Still, the system doesn’t address the amount of time school buses are spent at idle, which may be the most serious emissions threat from big yellow, but it’s a start.
