# Is there a new kid on the block to tackle Tesla?

If you look back at the recent history of the electric car market, it is dominated by the likes of Tesla Motors and its flamboyant entrepreneurial Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk. However, the emergence of Detroit Electric and its eagerly awaited SP:01 electric sports car has certainly given some in the industry food for thought.

It will be interesting to see whether anyone can tackle the almost perfect development of Tesla and indeed whether Detroit Electric and its much heralded SP:01 can see out the test of time.
