# How to Upgrade controller T1 for T4

Hello Friends  
I have a 1998 E2 with a T1 controller and the controller burns out  
I have a T4 controller and I need to install it but it looks different from the T1.what I need to used the T4 also the converter look bad

Not an easy swap. You would need all of the electronics that go with the t4.  
Trade someone your t1 and t4 for a t2.

Check with @chris1 . I think he had a couple T2s he was selling
