I opened a Denny’s restaurant in Daytona Beach in 1970 a couple of weeks before spring break… it was on the beach and in March it was hot and humid… I was only there thru July before being sent to Atlanta… I remember being given a roll of duct tape and told to make an X on the windows in case of a hurricane… I said OK but I’ll be gone after the door is done…
