One of the guys i work with bought an electric cart for his mother, and it came in broken, so he gutted it for components and gave the rest to me. Being the sensible man i am, i skipped by the computer and such, and just hooked the batteries to the motor. Full throttle or nothing. Had a lot of torque, could carry me up a steep incline at a pretty badass rate, so i decided to regear it lazily. i used a handful of bike parts and ended up with a 6:1 ratio that burned out the motor under load. went like a bat out of hell without me sitting on it though.
