That works. I posted in another thread about using sentry monitor sw. It would let you graph amps versus temperature.
It would be much more responsive, as it measures right at the armature mosfets.

After an hour, I give up.persevere Are you programming on line now with the programming port added to Gem? Try monitor function and give me a plug. I don’t know why everyone doesn’t use it for trouble shooting. Shows much more than you would expect. Switch and throttle position etc. You can even graph, I believe 3 parameters. Such as A amps versus field current. Controller…

Might be fun to slide a water block in there and do some liquid cooling.
I can’t seem to find any long enough.

They make larger cooling plates. I have seen people make or buy them for their Amps used in car stereo stuff. I wouldnt think you would or should need that level of cooling. Me thinks if you have to have a water cooled controller base then somthing else may be wrong.

Someone on the forum had recommended a company called heat [sinks.com](http://sinks.com).
You simply measure out what size you need.
Only downside is you have to drill your own holes in the sink and add some metal to hold it down no biggie for the average DIY guy/gal
