I am running gel batteries in my ford think and have no access to 110 outlet in my condo parking lot. I charge with a converter (220 to 110) at a tesla charging station but never get a full charge (green light on delta charger). I am afraid not getting full charge will decrease my batteries life span. The tesla chargers are private so I can charge for multiple days in a row. What is my best bet keep charging with converter, trickle charging or…? Thx.

This sounds more like your DQ charger may not be set to the proper gel profile rather than anything you are doing to provide input power to the DQ charger.

Here are directions on how to check what profile your charger is set for:
[https://support.delta-q.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015663051-QuiQ-Series-How-to-Change-the-Algorithm-Manually](https://support.delta-q.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015663051-QuiQ-Series-How-to-Change-the-Algorithm-Manually)

Here is one of many lists of the profiles that exist, note, your charger will at most only have some of these loaded and may even have ones not listed on this sheet.
[https://support.delta-q.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052952391-Charge-Profile-Algorithm-List](https://support.delta-q.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052952391-Charge-Profile-Algorithm-List)

What are the specs on the GEL batteries you have installed? #6 is more common GEL profile for older GEMs that have similar GEL setups (six 12v gel cells)

@David_Illingworth is the Think guru here, maybe he knows where to find a list of profiles or has some first hand advice.

Rodney’s notes on how to change profiles on the DQ QuiQ charger via the tappy-tap-tap method if needed,

> OK guys here is the way to change your setting on a GEM DELTA Q. Strongly suggest you first : disconnect the charger positive (red) wire from the terminal post and attach 4 feet of wire to it. Then securely attach 4 feet of wire to the post. This enables you to view the lights on the charger while laying on your back under the cart and make accurately timed “TAP” connections. The MOST IMPORTANT thing you have to do is get the DQ into setup mode. You have 11 seconds to get in the setup mode …

What JarJar said, but also I have a few questions:

- How long has it been doing this? (no green light)
- How long have you left it plugged in? (just to see if it just needs more tine)
- What is the condition of this pack?
-
  - How old are the batteries?

-
  - How do they load test?

-
  - Are they properly balanced?

It sounds like you might have one battery that is low and refusing to come up to finish V. This will eventually kill the entire pack.
