# Charging with battery switch off

trying to troubleshoot my Zivian NG3 charger issue… my charger will not run if my battery switch is off before plugging it in. However if I turn the battery switch off after the charger is plugged in…it charges. Is this normal? Seems like my old gem would charge either way.
