# Are concept cars a waste of money?

Even though a large percentage of concept cars will never make it to market, they do serve a very useful purpose for the industry. They often prompt news ideas, re-emerge in an adapted form in the future although there are some which do actually make it to market. Concept cars do have a role to play in the industry.
