# Anyone imported GEM US -\> Canada?

Hi!

Looking for a little city runabout/second car and Toronto recently allowed LSVs within the city under the Ontario LSV pilot, so I’ve got my heart set on one for summer. Pickings are slim up here but I’m seeing a bunch on FB Marketplace in neighbouring states. Thinking of going 15+ years old to save myself a few brownies on the federal inspection. And since I’m planning on dropping in a lithium pack and maybe swapping the motor and gear, one with dead batteries—[like this one](https://www.facebook.com/share/1KVzz6kru7/)—will save me some HST.

Anyone have any experience importing GEMs or other LSVs/NEVs?

Oh, looks like mine, except of the yellow color. Can’t help with the import question though 🙄
