If anyone is interested in 120v ac power from Gem battery, let me know what size.
I’m thinking about importing some inexpensive models.
The 800w(1600w surge) is about $150
Each larger about $50 more.
1000
1500
2000
2500
Kinghappy is interested, but I haven’t found a market to make a minimum 10pc order.

Is it possible to charge a GEM 72v dc system directly from a solar panel setup without converting to AC and then back again?

Have a ton of sun and am interested putting panels up in the backyard. Best yet is I have buy in from the spouse! She’s crazy to get off the grid

Hi, happy New Year. Currently have not bought any panels. What voltage are you asking about?

Most systems I looked at use micro converters at each panel to do dc/ac conversion. I was thinking you could charge a volt battery set as storage and run dc to gem. Of course I maybe just creating a totally different set of issues.

Any ideas you have would be appreciated.

Thanks

No suggestions on what system might be best. Charging the gem is the least of your issues. Any voltage level can be changed to charge batteries.
