Recently bought Emmy from an auction (6v batteries, 48v system)! Once the battery display gets around 75% battery, I start getting an F17003 code. If I keep driving it, it will die and throw a F37003 code. I am only getting around 8 miles before having issues.

I fully charged all the batteries, removed them, and had them tested by two shops. All batteries tested good with a load tester. Here are the voltages with batteries fully charged:

6.24, 6.33, 6.35, 6.33, 6.23, 6.31, 6.32, 6.34 (50.4 total pack voltage.)

Pack voltage testing
-key off 50v
-key on 49.6v
-driving slow 43v
-driving fast 35v

I also tested the individual batteries while driving with full throttle:

5.62, 4.3, 4.4, 4.0, 5.65, 4.0, 4.0, 4.3v

Is it possible the batteries are still bad or is there something else I should test? Batteries are Discover EVGC6A-A DRY CELL (AGM) 6V and are like $550 a piece - yikes

OMG Those poor batteries!
All batteries are not created equal. It does not look like those dry cell batteries are even close to the task of supplying enough current to support cart activity.

Not sure why you chose the Discover EVGC6A-A DRY CELL (AGM) 6V. $4400 does not sould like you had a connection for a deal.

That would have bought a really nice lithium pack.

The previous owner installed those!

I have had HORRIBLE luck with AGM batteries. I’ve been through at least 5 sets in 9 years. I resolved the problem on my 2016 E4 by putting in 2 batteries 100AH in parallel giving me an 80 mile range with zero issues in the past couple years. My wife’s 2024 E2 had issues with the AGM batteries after 5 months. It was taken care of on warranty but the whole pack died again at 11 months. I bit the bullet and dropped in 2 batteries at 100AH in parallel and the car displays 85 mile range and hopefully will work out just fine for the life of the car. And those batteries are only about $750 each these days.

As a matter of curiosity these 2 batteries (100AH), what brand were they. I have a 2016 E2 with AGM batteries and am not really happy with them.

The two batteries in my 2016 are Kepworth and I just put two in my wife’s 2024 E2 which are DCHouse. Likely all made in the same factory. Definitely better than AGMs.
