# 2008 Gem hub play

I replaced my front bearings because i didnt like the side-to-side play in both front wheels. Typically (on other vehicles) I hand tighten the castle nut…maybe give it an extra 1/8 turn and the put the cotter pin in. Even after new bearings, I still have a little side to side movement for the whole assembly. Is this normal for a Gem?

I’ve had play in mine, but after replacing the bearings the play was/is from the A arm bushings. I’d check those first.
