# 2008 gem e brake problem

Hello there! I recently purchased a gem that has been modified as a food cart. The last few days I have had trouble with the parking brake. I have to turn it on and off several times for the light to go off and for the gem to drive. Today I finally got the light to go off. I started driving and the light came on again and the gem stalled. This happened three times while driving 2 blocks. I live in a pretty small town and no one in the area seems to know anything about these vehicles! Any advice would be much appreciated. 🙂

There is a switch attached to the parking brake which is engaged when the brake is on and disengaged when it is off. Sounds like either the switch is bad or the mechanism needs adjusted.
