Hi we have a 2007 E4 Gem, no error codes. Gem runs no issues. When we put the key in an alarm goes off, turn the key on, the alarm
goes off. Turn the key off, the alarm goes off even with the key out of the ignition. We have to turn the battery disconnect to off. Thanks

Make sure you parking brake is set when parked -
If so, check the PB switch wiring.

If lifting the e-brake up does not silence the steady beep, Lift up the seat cushion and look for the wires attached to the micro switch on the e-brake handle.
The switch may be non functional so they just bypassed it. Connecting the two wires is needed to make the car go. They need to be open for key off and silence.
