# 2002 Gem 4 seater parking brake issues

Hello all,
At the company I work for our 2002 gem car 4 seater is having issues with the parking brake. When the parking brake is engaged it can still be moved. I have the 2001-2004 gem car owners manual and in that manual it shows that the tension adjuster should be under the rear seats. I removed the rear seat cushion but could not locate the tension adjuster. Any insight as to how to adjust the parking brake would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did you figure out? This post wasn’t in the GEM forum and I just stumbled upon it. Adjuster is found under the car.
Also, run your VIN at NTSA recall site as the parking brake has a recall and Polaris just repaired ours under warranty.
