Ok, so I have a 1975 MG midget and I am contemplating an EV conversion, that or biodiesel/alcohol. My questions:

1. I live in mountians, what kind of range can i expect, and is there regenerative brakeing options out there?
2. How much can I expect to spend going with about a 144V system.
3. What kind of battery life can i expect, i read somewhere around 3-6mo to maybe a couple years?
4. Whats the advantages or drawbacks of direct drive vs. hooking the motor to the stock transmission.

thats what i have for now, ill be researching it more.
