# 05 battery placement

When I got my 05 eS it had old group 27 batteries in it that fit fine, but when I replaced them with the proper group 31 Trojan T1275 the two in the rear wouldn’t fit down in the tray (frame) it was about 1/4" too narrow. anybody else have to deal with this?
